Cortado Cloud Desktop Now Available for Google Chrome, Chromebook and Chromebox

Cortado, the leading provider of cloud desktop services, today announced that its free cloud desktop solution Cortado Workplace is now available in Google?s Chrome Web Store. The solution from Cortado is entirely based on HTML5, allowing users to fully leverage the potential of Google?s Chrome browser.

When Cortado Workplace is installed via the Chrome Web Store, users benefit from instant access to the cloud desktop solution on a Chromebook, via Chromebox, or any other PC using Google?s Chrome browser. By also providing the app for Android, iPad, iPhone and BlackBerry devices, all files and documents can be saved centrally to the cloud and accessed with various devices.

For saving files centrally, users can take advantage of 2 GB of password-protected, free online storage that can be easily accessed by the user with any device. Thanks to multiple file-handling features, users remain fully flexible when it comes to editing files. The preview feature, for example, allows users to view documents without downloading them. This saves significant data volumes and eliminates the need to install the appropriate app on the device. Users can also complete features such as PDF rendering, e-mailing or printing documents without downloading the files first.

Instead of synchronization between all devices, Cortado Workplace turns the focus to rapid access. Files can therefore remain in the cloud, while still being quickly available on various devices. With this unique capability, Cortado Workplace can manage larger amounts of data without using up the storage space of mobile devices.
